GHOSTDADAN Paranormal School Festival - Interactive Cafe Experience at Anime North 2026

Another year at Anime North hosting the interactive cafe experiences! This year, we went heavy on the theming of merging DanDaDan and GHOST GiRL GOODS together to create GHOSTDADAN!

The GHOSTOWN School Festival kicks off with a maid cafe, run by the lovely GGG girls GHOST GiRL, Pompoji, and Pearla! They're later joined by 2 familiar friends, main characters Momo and Okarun from the critically acclaimed, hit Japanese anime series now streaming on Crunchyroll DanDaDan! LOL
FEATURING
The cafe started off with the GGG girls welcoming all their maid cafe attendees, while also making a reference to the backstory of the lore of GHOSTOWN. An instagram video was made to kick off the lore, but only those who saw it will understand the full reference~!
When the protective seal was removed, suddenly GHOST GiRL didn't feel so good and was then possessed by the evil GHOUL GAL!!! Luckily, our friends Momo and Okarun sensed something and came by to help! They told everyone about the secret sacred ritual of JANKENPON (Rock Paper Scissors)
Luckily, GHOUL GAL was exorcised (well....more like persuaded) and GHOST GIRL returned back to normal. Then the treats were served! Everyone was given a banana and twinkie (No harvested banana organs though!!!) All our main mascots then went around the tables to decorate everyone's treats and interact with them.
As we wrapped up each cafe session, we bid everyone farewell with a dance! (We all danced to the ending song Doukashiteru from season 2 of DanDaDan!)
On the way out, people also had opportunities to take photos with us!
I think I can say that this was the most smooth and successful year yet! Thank you to everyone who attended our cafe! We hope that you had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back next year and hope you'll look forward to what we've got to show you! Until then . . .
