KAWAII MONSTER LAND - The Newest Kawaii Experience on Takeshita Street

After many years without the Kawaii Monster Cafe, a new experience has finally emerged from the underground depths of Harajuku! The story behind KAWAII MONSTER LAND is that it was an abandoned theme park which was buried underground in Harajuku, lost for many years. Dr. Sebastian and his team worked to uncover this lost theme park and eventually were sent into the kawaii world!

This new themed attraction is set right in the center of Takeshita street. Reservations can be made for a 1-hour time slot of fun! The experience features games, themed treats, a gift shop, and a spinning cup centerpiece, similar to the Kawaii Monster Cafe's iconic sweets go-round. A fun experience for all ages!

There is a mini pre-show, then it's time to play! During this time you can play games and enjoy kawaii monster treats. I ordered a colourful monster burger, Choppy cupcake, and whimsical drink, all of which were pretty tasty. The mini burgers (I ordered the chicken teriyaki one) were stacked on top of each other, and hidden in the cone was potato salad. The Choppy cupcake was not too sweet, but the drink was very very sweet! I hope that I can try the crepe next time!

Once you hear the bell ring 3 times, its time for the show! The monster girls dance around and get everyone excited! There is an interactive dance, where everyone is encouraged to join in. (Thats my favourite part LOL)

After the mini show, you can continue to finish up your treats and play a few more games. There is also a gift corner where you can buy exclusive goodies. Personally, I felt like 1 hour didn't give me enough time to finish my treats, but thankfully, they give you a little bag to take anything you didn't finish with you.

All in all, it was such a fun experience and I hope to see it continue to grow and evolve and have its permanent place in Harajuku for the future to come!
